I dunno, today I just have this strange urge to blog... I dunno what for or anything...

for starters VOTE OBAMA!!!! O.O if you can! (not like any one is reading this...) and vote NO on prop 8!!! if prop 8 passes gay ppl can't get married in CA anymore.  They won't be free and this country is suposed to be about freedom!

My life has had some really rough spots lately as I try to turn my life around and be a more responcible and dependable person.  Thru doing this I found that the one person I really look up to and respect because she is what I would like to be is... I dunno... jelious?  I'm not sure that's the right term... of what would apper to be my lazyness... all the stuff that's gotten me into the deep hole I'm in now that I feel like I can't get out of...  so it confuses me a bit... I'm envious of her abillity to live and make it all on her own and she's envious that I can be a slacker and get away with it... grass is always greener I guess... oh well.  I still really care about her and I hope this dosn't get in the way of being friends.

I have no idea what I'm doing for halloween yet.... v.v I wanna be a little witch.

I'm gunna get a job soon to enhanse my journy towards being an independednt and responsible person!  also I really need a new computer soooooo badly that I need the money.  so yeah, I'll be doing that hopefully tomarrow or the day after.

I'm getting over the worst cold I've had in ages x.x I'm suprised that I found the energy to handle using my old computer to do my comic, but as I have said I'm striving to be dependable.

so yeah, I'm no pro at blogging... I'm not even sure if this counts... more like a journal I don't exspect anyone to read XD even tho it's out in the open... ha.

So, this new page, page 51, isn't fully colloured yet, but it's up and it's detailed.  and in my mind I think it's funny that all the homless people in it are colour cordnated for the most part.  it's like they had a meeting and were like "okay, now we all have to wear warm shades of gray so we look purposfully shabby"  I was amused.

On another topic I've been recently playing with prismicolour pens to colour stuff with which I like a lot really.  it's almost like painting, but you have to lay down the lighter colours first and if you accsadentally lay down a colour that's too dark then that's that no goingback.  it's really fun.

So yeah, that's it, still trying to get used to this journal thing. :P

So I really have very little idea what to write in a journal... So u I'll do my best.  Personally when I think "journal" I think of a pink fluffy book on a make-up table that a 13 year old girl has written in about her current crush at school.  Said journal is then read by her little nosy brother in his red and white striped t-shirt and a grossed out look on his face as he reads that his sister is in love with his bestfriend's older brother.  Then the little brother (after getting busted) tells his best friend that his sister is in love with best friend's older brother.  Older brother finds out from best friend and is either grossed out or amused and girl is embarased out of her mind.

Lucky for me I'm engaged, so the guy that I have a crush on knows I like him :P

Personally if I had a nosy little brother I would have written insulting things about him in my journal and then my brother would be all pissed and tell mom and then I'd know he read my journal.  I think that would be funny.


So, as some of you might know, I have this webcomic called Everything Goes.  If ya didn't know it can be found here www.royalbirdbath.com and I thought I might talk a little about what made me take up this webcomic because I love writing it and I've never compleeted 50 pages of a comic before and was still exsited about planning the next 50 if not thousand pages.  So Everything Goes actually started in it's creation back in highschool.  The characters Darrick, Frank, Catrina, and Alex were all in my original concept, Alex however was human with no special powers, Darrick had blond hair and a trench coat that was too big, and Frank was a bully.  Alex was then known by the name Ann, Darrick was Ted, and I dun remember Frank's orriginal name.  Catrina however is the only character who still has the name that I originally gave her.  Anyways, this was called "The Non-Human's Human" and Ann was the Human and everyone in her life wasn't human.  I wrote about 7 pages and then stopped.

Next attempt was called "Mage's Blood" This time Darrick and Frank were named as such and looked very simaler to how they look now.  Alex was still Ann and still a human, and Catrina was still Catrina and a cat deamon. New characters arrived such as Chad, the vampire hunter who sucks at his job, Max the glowing boy, and a few others.  This time I had a plot, but again only about 5 pages were written before I lost interest. I made two attempts at this but I just kept seeing this cast of potentially funny characters in a strip that was far too serious.

Finally, after hearing an insperational speach by Mookie, creator of the webcomic Dominic Deegan, I drew page one of what we now know to be Everything Goes.  I had no idea where it would go but I just pulled these characters back out and strated drawing.  When I kept making my friend laugh with each page I felt like for sure I had found the right thing and I quickly got 10 pages done, and was still jazzed to do more.  If I had my way EVerything Goes would be my full time job and I would spend 8 or more hours on it per day.  Someday I hope it will be. 

And that's how Everything Goes became my comic. :)

my recomendation to people looking to start a web comic, never be afrade to radically change an old idea into a new one, you might have more than you thought you did.
